Dia Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
Dia: Tasks & Habits is provided by Melih KARAGOZ under the Rosware name. Contact: [email protected].
Your choices
You can use the core task, habit and calendar features without creating an account. Your offline guest library stays on your device. An optional account enables synchronization and invitations. Dia does not display advertising or use advertising tracking.
Information processed
- Account information: username, email address, phone number and a securely hashed password. Account identifiers and session credentials support authentication and synchronization. Email addresses and phone numbers are not exposed through public username search.
- Content you create: tasks, habits, collections, notes, deadlines, completion history, reminders and event destinations. Account content is sent to our backend for synchronization. Unsynced changes remain on the device until a connection is available.
- Shared events: people you invite can receive your username, shared event details, notes, destination and participation information. Their responses are visible to the organizer and relevant participants. Do not include information you do not want invitees to see.
- Location: with your permission, arrival reminders use location information on the device, including background location when enabled. We do not send a continuous location history to our backend. Destinations or coordinates attached to account events can be synchronized as event content. Saved places are stored on the device. Apple MapKit and geocoding services process searches and coordinates when you use their online features.
- Apple Calendar: with your permission, Dia reads calendars available on your iPhone and displays their meetings. Those imported events are not uploaded to the Dia database. Dia does not change or delete the original calendars or accounts.
- Notifications: device push tokens, app language and delivery information are used to send event invitations and responses. Optional reminder notes may appear in notification content and on the lock screen, depending on your choices and iOS settings. Apple processes push delivery.
- Subscriptions: Apple and RevenueCat process transactions, subscription status and related app/device information. RevenueCat is associated with your Dia account identifier to verify access. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Operations and support: limited security, request, error and delivery records help operate the service. Information you send when requesting support is used to answer that request. Do not send passwords or private keys to support.
Services and sharing
We use our hosting infrastructure, Apple platform services and RevenueCat to provide the features described above. These providers may process information outside your country. Their own privacy notices also apply: Apple and RevenueCat. We do not sell your information or share it for advertising. Information may be disclosed when required by applicable law.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your account from Settings → Delete account. The app asks for your current password and confirmation. Account deletion removes your profile and account content from the active Dia database, revokes other sessions and removes the current device's account data. Shared events that you organize are removed; your participation in other people's events is removed. Your separate guest library and Apple Calendar accounts are not deleted.
Minimal technical deletion and anti-replay records are retained to prevent deleted accounts or old invitations from reappearing. A deleted username cannot be reassigned. Encrypted recovery backups may contain earlier records until the applicable backup-retention policy removes them; deletion records must be applied before a restored database is put back into service. Copies previously downloaded to an offline device, manually exported or shared outside Dia cannot be remotely erased immediately. Apple-managed device backups are subject to Apple's controls.
Deleting a Dia account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription or erase Apple's transaction records. Use Apple subscription management to cancel renewal. Subscription and billing records held by Apple or RevenueCat are subject to their own retention requirements and deletion procedures. Contact us for a request involving third-party customer records.
Security, permissions and your requests
Network communication uses HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and account credentials use the iOS Keychain. No service can guarantee absolute security. You can manage location, calendar, notification and other system permissions in iPhone Settings. You can export your event data in the app's settings. For access, correction, deletion or privacy questions, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify ownership before taking action.
Dia is a general productivity app, not a service designed specifically for children. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information inappropriately. We may update this policy when features or data practices change and will update the date on this page.
